Impressions From The Heirloom Expo

If there is one way to intimidate a hobbyist gardener, this is it: the National Heirloom Exposition in Santa Rosa. This year marked its third edition, and it was, as usual, spectacular, impressive, delicious and breath-taking.

The National Heirloom Exposition. The World's Pure Food Fair! Enough said One of the most amazing places and expositions I've ever seen. So much beautiful and delicious food! Heirloom Expo 2013, Santa Rosa, California Garlics at the heirloom expo Tables upon tables of different varieties of fruits and vegetables! Felt so overwhelmed and impressed! Only got to admire these beauties.... I bet they are delicious! Perhaps the epitome of whole event! Heirloom Expo 2013, Santa Rosa, California So much to admire! All of the sudden, my amateur home garden harvests became even more amateurish, a little less exciting and colorful.... Still lovely, though! Didn't have time to capture a close-up of every little plant that I liked (there were simply too many and not enough time), but these eggplants were too cute to miss! Yellow and purple!! Despite the name, it's eggplants (this year's obsession of mine :-)) we're talking about here! Somebody at the expo said they were Canadian geese, and I have no reason to disbelieve them....
